No. 1 Northwest gets upset at Central Missouri 72-60

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The No.1 ranked Northwest Missouri State Bearcat men's basketball team lost its first game of the season as they fell at Central Missouri 72-60 in their second MIAA game. The loss drops the team to 8-1 on the year (1-1 MIAA) and ends a 46-game winning streak for Northwest.  


Poor shooting plagued the Bearcats in this game, going only 19-of-52 from the field, and 7-for-29 from behind the three-point line. Trevor Hudgins scored 24 points to lead all scorers. The only other Bearcat in double figures was Diego Bernard with 14. Ryan Hawkins pulled down 11 boards in the game to lead all players. 


Central Missouri was led in scoring by Kendale Hampton with 20. He was followed by Gaven Pinkley with 16, and Matt Wilkinson and Garret Luinstra with 11 each.  


The Bearcats will be back in action December 16, in Bearcat Arena, against Central Methodist.
