Cooler temps in the 40s today

Posted Dec 06, 2019 4:08 PM

A cold front brought cooler temperatures and breezy conditions to the area this morning. By afternoon, temperatures will reach the upper 30s to lower 40s with winds gradually decreasing through sunset. Temperatures will climb into the 50s through the weekend with plenty of sunshine anticipated Saturday. Clouds will move back in Sunday ahead of the next cloud front which will allow temperatures to drop through the day Monday. We could see a few rain showers that may transition over to light snow as the colder temperatures push in, but little if any accumulation is expected. However, most locations will likely see no rain or snow at all. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 40. North wind 6 to 11 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 25. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm.
