LAFAYETTE COUNTY ā One person died in an accident just after 11p.m. Thursday in Lafayette County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Freightliner semi driven by Eddie L. Hughes, 47, Florissant, was eastbound on Interstate 70 The vehicle traveled onto the shoulder, struck an unoccupied a 2007 Dodge Magnum, traveled down an embankment and overturned.
ļ»æHughes was pronounced dead at the scene. The MSHP did not have seat belt usage information.
