Holiday Park at Krug Park in St. Joseph opens on Friday.

"Bring your family up, enjoy the lights,” says Jeff Atkins, St. Joseph Assistant Parks Director. "If you come on Friday or Saturday, the kids can see Santa and just come up and enjoy the lights, that’s why we do it."

Atkins says there will be a short ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday with the Mayor flipping the switch to turn on the Holiday Park lights. A ceremony will then be held at 7 p.m. to open South Pole at Hyde Park.

The parks are open each night through January 1st.
