ST. JOSEPH – The Missouri Western football team just missed out on making the NCAA Division II playoffs, but the Griffons will play in the postseason for a second consecutive season. MWSU accepted an invitation to the Agent Barry Live United Bowl in Texarkana, Arkansas for a second straight year.

Missouri Western, who tied for third in the MIAA and finished the regular season 8-3, will play Henderson on December 7th at Razorback Stadium. The Reddies had a 9-2 regular season and finished third in the Great American Conference. The only other meeting between the two teams came in the 2012 NCAA playoffs as MWSU won at Henderson State 45-21.

The Griffons won the Live United Bowl in 2018 as they defeated Southern Arkansas 30-25. This will be the 11th bowl game in Missouri Western history and the 15th postseason appearance.

A press conference with the official announcement will take place in Texarkana on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. as more details will be released then.
