NW Missouri man hospitalized after driver runs stop sign

CLINTON COUNTY— One person was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Saturday in Clinton County.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Barbara E. Carpenter, 65, Cameron, was northbound on U.S. 69 five miles east of Lathrop.


The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at MO 116. The Chevy struck the passenger side of an eastbound 2006 Ford Taurus driven by Jeffrey Kipp, 57, Kingston.


Tri-County Ambulance transported Kipp to Liberty Hospital. Carpenter was not transported for treatment. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
