ST. JOSEPH - The Missouri Western men's basketball team never trailed by more than five points and led by as many as 18 on way to its first win of the season, 70-55 against Minnesota State Moorhead, Friday night at Civic Arena.

Moorhead jumped out to a 7-2 lead, but the Griffons stormed back and took a 34-32 lead to halftime after two Tyrell Carroll free throws at the end of the half, gave the Griffons the lead.
