Warmer temps through the weekend before cold front arrives Sunday night

A brief return of warmer temperatures are expected this weekend before a strong cold front arrives Sunday evening. Minor snow accumulations are possible Sunday night into Monday morning, mainly north of I-70. Frigid temperatures will then follow in the wake of the cold front in the Monday to Tuesday time frame.


Today: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 47. South wind 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.


Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 32. South southwest wind 8 to 10 mph.


Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 63. West wind 6 to 8 mph.


Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.


Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Light north wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.


Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain before 9 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., then a chance of snow after 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.


Veterans Day: A chance of snow before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 29. Chance of precipitation is 30%.


Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 13.


Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 29.


Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.
