Griffons remain at No. 8 in Super Region Three Rankings

The Missouri Western football team is No. 8 in the latest NCAA Division II Super Region Three rankings released Monday.


The Griffons remain at No. 8 as the were in the same spot in the first regional rankings released last week. The top seven teams qualify for the NCAA Division II playoffs in each region.


MWSU is now 7-2 on the season after defeating Pittsburg State this past Saturday 35-21 for its sixth consecutive win. There are three other MIAA teams in the top 10. Central Missouri is at no. 2, Northwest Missouri State is seventh and Fort Hays State is no. 10.


There are two weeks left in the regular season as the Griffons return to Spratt Stadium this Saturday against Nebraska-Kearney (5-4). The kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. and you can listen to it on the Griffon Sports Network 680 KFEQ and 107.9 FM.
