IRVING, Texas – Three Oklahoma student-athletes and players from Baylor and Iowa State were honored with Big 12 awards for their Week 7 performances.

Sooner wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was named Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate Kenneth Murray took home Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Baylor kicker John Mayers was selected as Special Teams Player of the Week. Iowa State’s Breece Hall and Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts shared Newcomer of the Week honors. A five-person media panel votes on the weekly award winners.

Lamb made a career-high 10 catches for 171 yards and a career-high-tying three touchdowns in Oklahoma's 34-27 win over No. 11 Texas. His touchdowns covered 1 yard (fourth-down play in first quarter, 51 yards (third quarter; beat five defenders) and 27 yards (fourth quarter; broke two tackles).

Murray registered five solo tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack as OU held the Longhorns to 310 yards and 4.2 yards per play. With the help of Murray, the Sooners tied a school record with nine sacks and their 15 tackles for loss were their second most ever against UT.

For the first time in his career, Mayers had a multi-field goal performance, going 2-for-2 in field goals on the day and 3-for-3 on extra points. The redshirt freshman came up clutch as the clock expired in regulation, as his 19-yarder tied the game at 20-20 and sent Baylor and Texas Tech into overtime.

Hall, a true freshman running back, had career highs in carries (26) and rushing yards (132) in the Cyclones’ win at West Virginia to become the first Iowa State freshman to record a 100-yard rushing game since David Montgomery in 2016. He also had three rushing TDs to equal ISU's season best.

Hurts carried the ball 17 times for 131 yards (the most rushing yards ever by an Oklahoma quarterback vs. Texas and a Cotton Bowl Stadium collegiate record by a QB) and a 3-yard fourth-quarter touchdown in OU's 34-27 win over the Longhorns. He was 16 for 28 through the air for 235 yards, three TDs and an interception, and finished with 366 yards of total offense.

The offensive honor is the first for Lamb, while Hall is also a first-time honoree. Murray earned his second career Defensive Player of the Week accolade. This week’s honor is the third for Hurts and second for Mayers this season.
