Missouri Western volleyball sweeps Fort Hays State

HAYS, Kan. - Ali Tauchen set a new three set match record for the Missouri Western volleyball team as the Griffons (10-6, 4-4 MIAA) defeated Fort Hays (6-11, 3-6 MIAA) 3-0 Saturday afternoon. As a team, the Griffons recorded a .471 hitting percentage through set one, and that momentum would carry them throughout the match.


NOTABLES:

  • Ali Tauchen's three-set match record included her scoring 20.5 points throughout the match.
  • Tauchen had the highest hitting percentage for the Griffons, scoring a .483 hitting percentage on the day.
  • Tiana Butler recorded her 300th dig of the season in Saturday's match, tallying her season total to 307.
  • Butler also has 759 digs in her career as a Griffon.
  • Missouri Western also recorded a .250 hitting percentage to Fort Hays' .067.
  • Danielle Moje had a .667 hitting percentage for the Griffons.
  • Lauren Murphy also recorded a match-high 37 assists.
