Donut Dash course features historic St. Joseph places

An annual upcoming event offers the opportunity to take a morning run through several historic places in St. Joseph.

Kristi Bailey with the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce says they partner with Gold-N-Glaze Donuts to put on the Donut Dash which is a little over a 5K.

"It starts at Patee House Museum, goes by Robidoux Row Museum and then you go through Mount Mora Cemetery, which is pretty cool on a crisp, October morning to go through that historic cemetery," Bailey says. "We end at Gold-N-Glaze Donuts and there's donuts available before the race, during the race, after the race but we also have a brunch and Bloody Mary bar at Hi-Ho (Bar and Grill)."

A portion of the proceeds go to maintenance efforts for the historic landmarks on the 5K course.

The run starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19th. For more information or to register, click here.
