Two Griffon women in the Top 10 after day one at Midwest Classic

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Allycia Gan tied for second through one round of play as the Missouri Western women's golf team placed second overall in the Midwest Classic on Monday. Gan had an individual score of 71, while the Griffons had a team score of 300 in Warrensburg.


Gan was one stroke shy of a one-round season low for the Griffons, as she scored a 70 in the first round of the MIAA Fall Classic just over a week ago.


Anna Bech also found her way into the top-10 for the Griffons, as she tied for sixth through round one with a score of 73. Tammy Lim tied for 18th place with a score of 76 heading into the final round of play.


Madi Vine and Cindy Herrera also shot 80 and 81 for the Griffons, respectively. Vine tied for 48th, while Herrera tied for 57th.


The Griffons will conclude their play in the Midwest Classic on Tuesday.
