<img src="https://media.eaglewebservices.com/public/2019/7/1561997795681.jpeg" width="140">In what is becoming the norm this season, Northwest Missouri State's&nbsp;Maddy&nbsp;Ahrens&nbsp;and Hallie&nbsp;Sidney&nbsp;have been honored as the&nbsp;MIAA&nbsp;specialist and hitter of the week. For the third consecutive week and fourth time overall,&nbsp;Ahrens&nbsp;has been named the&nbsp;MIAA&nbsp;Specialist of the Week. Sidney has now earned three&nbsp;MIAA&nbsp;Hitter of the Week awards in 2019. Ahrens&nbsp;(Appleton, Wisconsin) averaged 12.71 assists, 0.71 service aces and 0.86 blocks as Northwest split a pair of home&nbsp;MIAA&nbsp;matches.&nbsp;Ahrens&nbsp;dished out 35 assists, six digs, three blocks, three service aces and a kill in a 3-0 win over Fort Hays State.&nbsp;Ahrens&nbsp;handed out a match-high 54 assists to go along with nine digs, four kills, three blocks and two service aces in a four-set loss to No. 4-ranked Nebraska-Kearney. Sidney (Chesterfield, Missouri) averaged 4.00 kills/set and 5.00 digs/set and she posted a pair of double-doubles as Northwest split of a pair of league matches at home. Sidney tallied 11 kills and 14 digs to go along with a solo block in Northwests 3-0 win over Fort Hays State. Sidney went for another double-double with 17 kills and 21 digs in a four-set loss to No. 4-ranked Nebraska-Kearney. Sidney added three assists and two blocks against the&nbsp;Lopers. Northwest (12-2 overall, 5-1&nbsp;MIAA) will remain at home this week with a two matches in Bearcat Arena. Northwest will play host to Central Oklahoma on Friday and Newman on Saturday.
