Temps in the 70s through Thursday

It will be seasonable for early October through mid-week, with our first strong cold front Thursday into Friday. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:


Today: Sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind.


Tonight: Clear, with a low around 46. Calm wind.


Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 71. Light south wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.


Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. South southeast wind around 6 mph.


Wednesday: A slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. South southeast wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.


Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 a.m. Low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.


Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
