NEWTON COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 9p.m. Saturday in Newton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Trey J. Millikin, 20,
Granby, was northbound on Racoon Road one mile east of Granby.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle and it struck a pedestrian identified as Kenneth D. Arehart, 42, Granby, who was in the road.
EMS transported Arehart to Mercy Hospital in Joplin where he died. Millikin was not injured.
