DOUGLAS COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 5p.m. Tuesday in Douglas County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Mitchel C. Garcia, 53, Alva, was westbound on MO 76 two miles east of Goodhope. The SUV traveled off the road, overturned and the driver was ejected.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Clingbeard Funeral Home in Ava. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
