BUCHANAN COUNTY — Three people were injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Tuesday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Amber N. Grainger, 32, Germantown, NC., was southbound on Interstate 29 in the city limits of St. Joseph.

The driver failed to yield to a 2005 International flatbed truck driven by Mark R. Bridge, 60, St. Joseph, who was performing duties of traffic navigation.  The van struck the attenuator attached to the truck, traveled across both southbound lanes of traffic, off the road and struck a guardrail.

Buchanan County EMS transported Grainger and two children to Mosaic Life Care. Bridge was not injured. All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
