Temps in the low 80s through the weekend

Overall, we’ve got decent weather for the weekend ahead. We do have storm chances though, starting Saturday night after sunset through Sunday afternoon. No severe weather is expected right now, but heavy rain is possible especially across northern MO. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:


Today: Sunny, with a high near 81. North wind around 10 mph.


Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 58. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph.


Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 80. Light east northeast wind becoming east southeast 5 to 9 mph in the morning.


Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. East southeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.


Sunday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southeast wind 5 to 7 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.


Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
