Anita Lorine Headrick 85, of Riverside, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at North Kansas City Hospital. She was born February 18, 1940 in Indianola, OK, daughter of Mary and Carlton Lewis. She graduated from high school in McAllister OK, and married Wayne Headrick in Alameda, CA. She worked for the Dept. of Labor in Job Core as Student Placement Coordinator, she also worked at the Betheseda Naval Hospital. Anita was very active in girl and boy scouts, and was a member of the Frederick Blvd. Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother, who loved her family and God.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne Leroy Headrick Sr., daughter, Dianna Headrick, brother, Leroy Lewis, and sister, Dorothy Harris. Survivors include: daughter, Sharon Headrick of Independence, MO, daughter, Patricia Headrick of Kansas City, KS, son, Wayne (Jeanna) Headrick Jr. of Kansas City, KS, grandchildren: Jonathan Dinwiddie, Kenneth Jarred, Kayla Jarred, Paul Headrick, Dawn Shadwell, Daniel Hepltzel, and Joseph Heltzel, numerous great grandchildren, and her sister, Debbie Williams of OK.
The family will receive friends from 9-10:00 AM on Wednesday with funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home, Cliff Black officiating. The Interment will be at the Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30 pm Wednesday.
