GREENE COUNTY —Three people died in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Thursday in Greene County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Volvo semi driven by Erskine R. Pickwick, 68, Winchester, VA., was westbound on Interstate 44 and had stopped on the shoulder just west of Springfield.

While attempting to pull back onto the interstate, the semi pulled in front of a 2014 Ford Van driven by Claudia Dobos, 35, Clever, Missouri. The van struck the semi's towed trailer.
Olivia, Dobos, 8; Angelina Dobos, 7 and Julia Dobos, 6, all of Clever, were pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
EMS transported Claudia Dobos and five other children to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Pickwick was not injured. All ten were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
