The Missouri Western women’s basketball team announced Monday that they’re planning a 10-day trip to Greece this summer.
The Griffons will face international competition, and will have the opportunity for additional practices to prepare for the upcoming season. These are practices they wouldn't have otherwise.
Missouri Western athletics says the team is almost halfway to their fundraising goal of $85,000 to make the trip possible.
The Griffon women will make the trip in August. The team will spend time in Athens and Santorini, and play three total games while there.
