The St. Joseph Mustangs scored 15 runs on 16 hits and made quick work of the Carroll Merchants with a 15-1 win at Carroll in seven innings Wednesday.
Trevor McCollum led the way at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and five RBIs. Jaxon Himel went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs.
Mason Holton went five innings on the mound, striking out two and walking none. The Mustangs have won four of their last six, and are an impressive 8-3 away from home.
St. Joseph comes back to open a three-game homestand this weekend, starting with a home game against Joplin on Thursday. First pitch at Phil Welch Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
