Deloris “Dodie” Jean Osborn, 90, of Agency Missouri went home to be with the Lord and Savior April 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Dodie was born November 11, 1933, to Cleo Hunt and Anna (Smith) Hunt. She had two siblings, William C. Hunt and Gala Hunt Craven.
Deloris graduated from Grant City High School in 1951. She played volleyball, loved to roller-skate and was a member of The Agency United Methodist Church.
She married Darrell “Mick” Osborn, the love of her life, September 3rd , 1954, in Stanberry, Missouri.
They had one child, Cindy (Osborn) Rumpf. Dodie worked hard and was the legendary head cook for the Mid-Buchanan School District for 24 years. She retired in May of 1996. She will be remembered for her famous cinnamon rolls and no-bake cookies.
Dodie was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Bill and granddaughter Rachel Rumpf. Dodie is survived by her husband Mick of the home, daughter Cindy (Randy) Rumpf, grandson Ryan (Lucinda) Rumpf, great grandsons Ryland and Hayden Rumpf who love their granny great, her ‘tomato-picking’ nephew Terry (Jill) Osborn and numerous nephews, nieces family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith &Sidenfaden Chapel. The services will be Wednesday April 10th, 2024 at 11:00am at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
