Mo. teen airlifted to hospital after vehicle strikes ATV

LIVINGSTON COUNTY— A Missouri teen was injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Thursday in Livingston County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Chrysler passenger vehicle driven by Taylor D. Odell, 26, Chula, was eastbound on Route K one mile east of Chula.

The vehicle struck a 1997 Honda 4-wheel ATV driven by a 17-year-old boy from Chula that had slowed to make a left turn on Livingston Co. Road 251.

According to the MSHP, the ATV driver gave a hand signal ahead of the attempted turn and the Chrysler tried to pass on the left. The impact ejected the teen from the ATV.

Lifeflight Eagle transported the teen to Truman Medical Center. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP. Odell was properly restrained and not injured.
