ANDREW COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Thursday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Freightliner semi driven by a 58-year-old Goodyear, Arizona man was southbound on Interstate 29 and began to take the exit at the 53 mile marker. The semi traveled off the east side of the off ramp down a deep embankment and returned to the Interstate. The vehicle then struck the towned unit of a 2020 International semi driven by an Alberta, Canada man. The Freightliner then jackknifed and came to rest blocking both lanes of southbound Interstate 29.
Andrew County EMS transported the 58-year-old driver to Mosaic Life Care. There were no other injuries. Both driver were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
