CALDWELL COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before noon Sunday in Caldwell County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by Cody L. Streu, 25, Kidder, was southbound on Route D crossing U.S. 36. The driver failed to yield and struck an eastbound 2004 Toyota Venza driven by John E. Mast, 67, Lansing, Michigan. Both vehicles left the road and overturned.
Cameron Ambulance transported a passenger in the Toyota Leanne J. Mast, 65, Lansing, to Liberty Hospital where she died. Lifeflight transported John Mast to Truman Medical Center. Streu was treated at the scene and released. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
