Phyllis Mae Williams 88, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in a St. Joseph, MO hospital. She was born July 17, 1937 in Halls, MO, daughter of the late Grace and Aaron Reno. She graduated from Benton High School, and worked as a mail sorter with the United States Post Office. She served in the United States Marine Corp. She enjoyed reading books, puzzles, and loved her cat Skunk.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ansel Williams, son, Stephen Williams, brothers, Alfonzo and Ernest Reno, and a sister, Catherine J. Shoemaker.
Survivors include: step sons; Charles "Eddie" Williams, Dallas, TX, Scott (Leida R.) Williams of Sanford, FL, Lonnie Williams of Lexington, MO, sister in law, Gladys Duffett, sister, Doris Deshon of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren: Sarah Williams (Kelsey Lewin), Riley Goodwin, Sean, Sebastian, and Sagan Williams, Trevor Williams, Chris Perez, Anthony Jarrell, Traci Carroll, and Heather Williams, great grandchildren: River Goodwin, Aubrianna & Allie Marie Perez, Arlen Jarrell, Graciela, Arya, and River Carroll, and daughter in law, Lourdes Williams.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday, July 29, 3025 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Pastor Josh Coverett officiating at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Mount Washington Cemetery with Military Honors.
