Jon Floyd LaFave, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025.
He was born May 24, 1951 to Floyd LaFave and Roberta Silvers in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Jon graduated from Lafayette High School in 1970. His strong work ethic was evident through his dedicated career as a supervisor at Wire Rope Corporation of America, where he served loyally for over 40 years.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1974 during the Vietnam War.
On September 4, 2005, Jon married his beloved wife, Kelly, with whom he shared a life filled with love and joy.
He loved NASCAR, particularly Jeff Gordon, fishing and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Kelly; his children: Kendra LaFave, Kristie Giles, and Holley (Kyle) Norton; along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are suggested to Mosaic Life Care Hospice and Cancer Center.
