United Way of Greater St. Joseph seeks volunteers for Stuff the Bus

The annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive, hosted by the United Way of Greater St. Joseph, will once again be held in August helping to gather school suppliess for students in need.

Stuff the Bus will be held on Friday, August 7th from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and on Saturday, August 8th from 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m. at both the North Belt Walmart and South Belt Walmart locations in St. Joseph.  Volunteers are needed to collect donated new school supply items that will be distributed through United Way partner agencies and programs.,

Supplies will be donated to agencies such as The Salvation Army.  Donors are also needed to purchase new school supply items and donate to the Stuff the Bus campaign.  Several items are needed including binders, backpacks, markers, crayons, scissors, and construction paper with lists provided at the Walmart locations.

Since 2009 the campaign has collected and distributed more than 331,000 school supplies items to area children, classrooms and programs.  For more information on how to volunteer, donate or receive supplies, contact the United Way offices or visit stjosephunitedway.org/stuffthebus.
