Hubert Eugene Edmonds, 91, of Weston, MO passed away peacefully at his home on September 23, 2024. Hubert was born December 21, 1932 in Kentucky, to Eugene Edmonds and Rebith (Glass) Edmonds.
He grew up in Smithland, Kentucky. He was drafted into the United States Army. While stationed at Ft. Leavenworth met Charlotte Gordon Carter, in Weston, MO. They were married in Corinth, Mississippi on November 29, 1955, and were married for 62 years, until her death in 2018. They settled in Smithland Kentucky, where they welcomed their son Danny Richard on July 26, 1957 and Tina Beth on October 23, 1958.
They moved to Weston, MO in 1962 and he worked at the Weston Elevator. He later worked as a sheet metal mechanic for TWA and retired after 27 years. Hubert loved living off the land and enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte; son Danny; son-in-law, Tim Dragoo; brothers James “Cooter” Edmonds and Tom Edmonds; sister, Doris McDonald; nephew, Marty Edmonds.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Dragoo of Weston; 4 grandchildren Carmen Lamar, Jason Dragoo, Abby Rose, and Tyler Dragoo; 6 great grandchildren Garrett, Trevor, Kellen, Addison, Alex, Clara.
Following cremation, a private family inurnment will take place at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which was dear to his heart.
