Access to and from Messanie Street at U.S. Route 169 is now fully open following the completion of significant traffic signal upgrades.

MoDOT, in coordination with RS Electric, reopened the intersection Thursday, March 5. The project aimed to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection.

Drivers are advised to remain cautious as they adjust to the new signal configurations at the intersection.

 <li>Extended Mast Arm: The southbound U.S. Route 169 traffic signal mast arm was replaced with a longer version to accommodate a new, dedicated left-turn signal.</li><li>Enhanced Signaling: All left-turn signals at the intersection were upgraded to flashing yellow arrows, which allow for more efficient turns when there is a safe gap in oncoming traffic.</li>
