<p>By TOMMY REZAC</p><p><i>St. Joseph Post</i></p><p>St. Joseph Police and the Buchanan County Sheriff's department provided assistance for a stand-off in Trenton Wednesday.</p><p>Trenton Police were called to the 300 Block of Kavanaugh Street for a suicidal subject with a gun.</p><p>Officers secured the scene and first requested assistance from the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.</p><p>Assistance was then requested from the Special Response Team from St. Joseph Police and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to end the stand-off.</p><p>After more than eight hours, 37-year old Marquise Jones of Trenton was taken into custody and charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. </p><p>The Trenton Fire Department and the Grundy County Ambulance Service also provided assistance.</p><div><div id="fb-root"></div>
