Robert “Red” Lee Harris, Sr., 98, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024.
He was born July 19, 1926 to the late Burt and Bessie (Griffin) Harris in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Robert married Charlene Silvey on August 27, 1955. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2020.
He worked for Iowa Missouri Walnut Company and retired after 45 years.
Robert was a member of Midwest Camping Club and Paul’s RV Camping Club.
He was an avid trout fisherman. He also enjoyed eating at Betty’s Café and making walnut furniture.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years; children, Robert Lee Harris, Jr., June Craig, and Denise Harris.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Worley (Robert), Randy Harris, and Sharon Brown; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
