The City of Saint Joseph will hold an inauguration April 20th at noon, first for Municipal Judge Laura Chavez, who is serving her first elected term after appointment following the death of Ted Elo.
Chavez will then swear in Mayor Larry Miller, and then the newly-elected city council members: Madison Davis, Jason Eslinger, Andrew Trout, Russell Moore, Colin Clibon, Marty Novak, Randy Schultz, and Gary Wilkinson.
This will be the final swearing-in of all eight council members, as council terms will be staggered from here on, two years apart.
Davis, Eslinger, Trout, and Moore will only serve two year terms in order to establish the staggering terms.
A brief first meeting will follow to establish a deputy mayor.
The public is invited to the inauguration and council meetings.
