Missouri man hospitalized after truck goes airborne, strikes tree

MERCER COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before noon Thursday in Mercer County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Ford F450 driven by Charles A. Olson, 56, Princeton, was northbound on U.S. 65 one mile south of Princeton. 

The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle returned to the road, traveled off the left side of the road down a steep embankment, went airborne and struck a tree.

A private vehicle transported Olson to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
