A pedestrian suffered serious injury when a vehicle struck him at South 22nd Street and Mitchell Wednesday night, then fled from the scene.
St. Joseph police report the victim was conscious and spoke with officers after being struck. He suffered a large cut to his head and internal injuries. Though serious, the injuries are not considered life threatening.
An officer arrested a suspect in the hit-and-run shortly after one o’clock Thursday morning at 36th and South 22nd Street.
Charges are pending. The investigation continues.
