Erma May Ritchie, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at a local health care facility. She was born April 23, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Adelia and Shirley Leslie.
She attended Dekalb High School. On January 31, 1959, she married Jimmy Ritchie, who preceded her in death in 2001. She spent many years at home taking care of her family. She loved to cook, playing cards and bowling.
Erma was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy Ritchie, father, Shirley Leslie, her mother and step-father Adelia and Russell Gullick, son, Roger Ritchie, brothers, Lloyd, Frank and Bobby Joe Leslie, sister, June Stagner, granddaughter, Jennifer Boyer and brother-in-law, Mike Pitts.
Survivors include daughters, Lisa (George) Embrey of St. Joseph, Cheryl Ritchie of St. Joseph, and Cynthia "Cindy" (Patrick) Rupp of Omaha, NE, brothers, Russell (Dixie) Leslie of Union Star, MO, Gene (Norma) Leslie of Michigan, Albert (Janie) Leslie of Michigan and Ralph (Vickie) Gullick, of St. Joseph, sisters, Eva (Dean) Thompson of St. Joseph, and Mary Pitts of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Shawn, Scott, Steven, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Christina, Thomas and Kaitlyn, great-grandchildren, Ethan, Gabriella, Jazmine, Graysen, Sebastian, Kinley, Izzabella, Benjamin, Beckett and Rhylin.
Funeral Services and public live stream; 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 Saturday. Officiating Pastor Rodney Krumme. The Interment will follow services at Memorial Park Cemetery.
