Everett Wheeler October 11, 1944 - September 2, 2025

Everett Lee Wheeler 80, of Faucett, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his home. He was born October 11, 1944 in St. Joseph, son of Sarah and Everett Wheeler. He graduated from Faucett High School, class of 1963, and he attended Missouri Western State College. He married Linda DeVaney on November 7, 1970 in Savannah, MO. Sharing just 2 months short of 55 years together.

Everett worked at Snorkel Equipment in the fire truck division, retiring after 33 years. He was a longtime member of Faith United Baptist Church. In high school he excelled in Track. Everett was a talented musician, and was the founder of the Platte Valley Ramblers Band. He was an accomplished string instrument player. He loved tractor pulling, was a member of Northwest Missouri State Tractor Pullers Association, pulling from 1969 until 2013. He also enjoyed coon hunting, and was a member of the Platte River Coon Hunters Association. Everett was also an avid collector and anything Oliver Tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jerry Wheeler, and sister, Carol Budgett.

Survivors include: wife, Linda Wheeler of the home, sons, Gary, Wayne (Laurie), Everett Dean (Shawna), and Dan Wheeler, siblings, Audrey (Roger) Lassen, Sandy (Norman) Beattie, Rhonda Gabriel, Jesse (Barbara) Wheeler, grandchildren, Samantha, Brad, Miranda, Molly, Morgan, Brett, Dylan, and Brandon, great-grandchildren, Waylon, Brooks, Caitlin, Kameron, Brinley, Lili, Peyton, Billie,  and Emberly, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wheeler has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Faith United Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 Saturday at the church. Memorials are requested to the Faith United Baptist Church.
