ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8p.m. Saturday in Atchison County.
Officer on patrol observed a utility side by side vehicle driving recklessly in the area of U.S.73 and Service Road, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle went a short distance, left the roadway and rolled onto its side. The driver of the vehicle identified as 45-year-old Eric Molt of Atchison was not injured.
EMS transported a 36-year-old female passenger to Mosaic in St. Joseph.
Officers arrested Molt on requested charges that include driving under the influence, fleeing and attempting to elude, transporting an open container, reckless driving, and unlawfully operating a utility vehicle in the city limits. Police issued him a notice to appear in court, according to Wilson.
