Maria Hope Kraft, beloved stillborn daughter of Sara and Justin Kraft, passed away in heavenly hope Sunday, October 5th, 2025 in St. Joseph, MO. She is survived by her parents, and five siblings; Augustine, Gianna, Gabriel, Dominic, and Isabella Kraft; grandparents Gary Kraft, Doug and Jan Carlson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Diann Kraft.
Maria was born on the feast of St. Maria Faustina, who proclaimed to the world Jesus’ Divine Mercy. Her middle name Hope places the image of the Divine Mercy always before us and reminds us that we do not mourn as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Even before birth, Maria was a source of great joy and a beloved member of the Kraft family. She will be greatly missed. The family is so grateful for even the short time she had among them, and the joy she brought to the family.
All services will be prayed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, starting with the Rosary at 9:30 am, then the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, October 13, 2025, Fr. Garret King Celebrant. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
