Weatherby, Missouri…..James Russell Moss, age 64, was born April 16, 1960, the son of Larry Ray and Rita Ruby (Smith) Moss in Kansas City, Missouri and passed away May 21, 2024, in Cameron, Missouri.
Russ attended Winnetonka High School and later married Barbara (Kunze). To this union three children were born. Russ moved to the Maysville area in 1983 where he started his own General Construction Business. He retired in 2004.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Moss and wife Barbara.
Russ is survived by his mother, Rita Moss; Life Partner, Gail Briner; three children, Jed Moss, Jacob Moss, and Jessi DuPreez; two brothers and one sister, Allen Moss, Cathy Maudlin, Ray Moss; 9 grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; and numerous friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Hopewell Baptist Church. Funeral services will start at noon at the church with burial immediately following at Hopewell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Cemetery.
