Mary Lynne Redman 1936 - 2023

Ft. Calhoun, NE: Mary Lynne Redman, 87, Ft. Calhoun, NE passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at a Fremont, NE nursing home.

She was born on January 28, 1936, in rural Gentry County, Missouri the daughter of Noah and Mable (Shoemaker) Hise.

On December 5, 1964, she married Roy Redman, Jr (Gray Beard). He preceded her in death in 1993.

Mary Lynne worked at Stetson Hat until she retired. She then went to work part time at Donna's Drapery Shop. She was an avid quilter. She loved making quilts and crocheting for all her children, especially her grandchildren! She even entered and won a few contests with her quilts. She would also donate her quilts to Living History Days to raffle off. She loved making candy at Christmas time. She also liked to be in her garden, canning, tending her flowers, bird watching, and feeding the squirrels. She was a BIG Chiefs and Royals fan. She was a Husker fan later, but she really loved the Chiefs! Mary Lynne volunteered at and was a lifetime member at the Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church in King City. Mary Lynne also volunteered at the Thrift Store in King City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Iris Dene and Dora Lee and stillborn twin brothers.

Mary Lynne is survived by her daughters; Nancy (Tony) Stasiak, Kansas City, MO, Nova (Larry) Cottle, Ft. Calhoun, NE, niece; Valarie (Wayne) Rees, Auburn, KS, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren with two on the way.

Memorial Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22 in King City Cemetery, King City, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO.
