Larry Buford Rudkin, 90, of St Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 in St Joseph.
He was born December 16, 1935 in King City, MO, son of Mildred and Otis Rudkin. He graduated from King City High School, class of 1953. Larry operated Larry's 66 and Frederick 66 filling stations. He later worked as a traveling Mechanic for Clark Forklifts. He will be remembered for being a hard worker. He enjoyed hunting, especially rabbit, squirrel, coons, and coyotes. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake. Larry was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dereva Davis, 2 infant sons, Scott and David Rudkin, and daughter, Shelley.
Survivors include: his companion of 43 years, Lila Hinkle, sons, Steven (Pam) Rudkin of St Joseph and Shawn Rudkin of CA, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 on Thursday. The Interment will be at the King City Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
