Marilyn A. Grand Pre, 76, Atchison, Kansas, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Atchison Senior Village.
Marilyn was born February 26, 1948, in Concordia, Kansas, the daughter of Harland and Edna (Greiveldinger) Grand Pre. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Atchison High School in 1966.
She worked for many years at the Atchison Hospital serving in the dietary department.
Marilyn was a member of St. Benedict Parish. She enjoyed watching television, especially her wrestling broadcasts. She also liked going to the casino to play BINGO.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Edonna “Jane” Seager, Atchison, KS, a sister-in-law, Sandra Grand Pre, Cummings, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arland Grand Pre, and a sister Debbie Grand Pre.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Fr. Meinrad Miller, OSB, officiating. A visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home with a rosary being recited at 10:45 A.M. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas.
