Man from Polo ejected from pickup after rear-end crash

CLINTON COUNTY –Two people were injured in an accident just after 10:p.m. Tuesday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Dakota T. Davis, 27, St. Joseph, was northbound on Interstate 35 just south of Route 116.

The driver began to overtake a 2002 Chevy Silverado driven by Steven W. Jordan, 55, Polo, in the driving lane. The 2011 Chevy rear-ended the 2002 Chevy.

After impact, the 2002 Silverado traveled off the east side of the road, rolled and the driver was ejected. The 2011 Silverado traveled off the west side of the road and came to rest in the median.

Tri-County EMS transported Jordan to Liberty Hospital. Holt EMS transported Davis to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Jordan was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
