Betty Jean Sparks joined her husband Clarence W. "Bud" Sparks and her Savior on the morning of November 30, 2023, at her home. Betty was born to Autry D. and Evelyn G. (Stoneburner) Babcock on June 25, 1924.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Carol O. Reiley and Permelia L. “Peggy” DeMar, sons-in-law, Paul K. Stracener and Charles F. Mueller.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Betty loved helping in the kitchen for her grandson Chaun F. Mueller, President of Chaun's Catering, Inc. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and grandchildren. On April 5, 2005 Betty and Bud celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie J. Mueller and Karen S. “Susie” Stracener. Grandson, Chaun F. Mueller and granddaughter, Tami R. (Sherry) Stracener. Great-grandchildren, Boston Archer, Brayden Archer and Megan (Josh) Mitchell. Great-great-grandchildren, Braylin and Silas Archer, Zyler and Hazyleigh Archer, Gracelyn and Kohen Mitchell. Sister Gloria M. Green of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
