CLINTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Wednesday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Mercury Sable driven by Steven R. Green, 61, Moberly, was southbound on U.S. 169 one mile north of Gower.
The driver fell asleep. The car crossed the center of the road and struck the towed unit of a northbound 1995 Peterbilt semi driven by Christian. A. Coffey, 58, Adrian.
After impact, the car traveled off the road, struck a fence and came to rest on its top in a creek.
Tri-County EMS transported Green to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Coffey was not injured. Green was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
