MERCER COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Friday in Mercer County.
THe Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 driven by a 21-year-old Princeton man was eastbound on Desoto Avenue three miles SW of Mercer. The vehicle skidded, crossed the center of the road and overturned.
Mercy helicopter transported driver to Mercy One in Des Moines, Iowa for treatment of serious injuries. He not wearing a helmet, according to the patrol. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
