Margaret I. (Dunham) June, 94, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023.

She was born December 4, 1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Harold and Verla (Gray) Dunham.

Margaret married William “Pete” June on August 14, 1953. He preceded her in death on their 56th anniversary, August 14, 2009.

She and Pete were longtime members of St. Paul Country Club United Methodist Church.

Margaret was a member of the YWCA Young Matrons and enjoyed playing tennis as well as traveling. She and Pete went to all 50 states, Mexico and Canada. They especially enjoyed wintering at Palm Shadow RV Resort in Donna, Texas, where she made many friends and found a lucrative side hustle selling handmade scrubbies and other crafts to the other winter Texans.

Always up for a good time, Margaret was notorious for her line dancing, often leading the conga line to “Red Solo Cup” or “Elvira.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; her parents; her son, Ronald Allen George; three sisters, Lola Spaeth, Norma (Jean) Allison and Shirley (infant); and her beloved dog, Penny.

Survivors include her children, Louise M. (June) Jones (Walter), Alice Marie (June) Madinger (Dan), and Richard Craig June; grandchildren, Shane George, Jamey George (Holly), Daniel Madinger (Kellee), Ann Wardlow (Brad), and Lori (Nathan) Bell; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Dakoda, Kamryn, Khloe, Lennox, Adrian, Christopher, Nevaeh, Bailee, Sophia, and Anthony.
